  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Cancellation policies at Wayfinder Newport vary by season.

    April 1 through October 31: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to 4:00 PM on your arrival date to avoid a penalty.

    November 1 through March 31: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to 4:00 PM on your arrival date to avoid a penalty.

    If plans change, just let us know as soon as you can.

  • Is there a nightly hotel or destination fee?

    Our Urban Destination Fee shifts with the rhythm of Newport. From May 15, 2026 to October 11, 2026, the fee is $45 per night. Outside of peak season, it’s $25 per night. This fee covers a curated collection of amenities designed to enhance your stay.

    This fee supports a curated collection of amenities designed to enhance your stay in Newport, Rhode Island, including high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour fitness center access, onsite parking, EV charging stations, seasonal outdoor pool access with towel service and food and beverage service, Open Water ultra-purified canned water, seasonal house bicycle rentals, and round-trip shuttle service to Downtown Newport.

    Guests who book directly also receive Neighborhood Perks, featuring exclusive discounts to local attractions and services, plus 15% off dining at Little Clam.

  • Are there any additional fees that I should be aware of?

    A credit card incidental hold of $50 per day is required at check-in. This temporary hold covers any additional charges during your stay and is released after departure, depending on your bank’s processing time.

  • Is Wayfinder Newport dog-friendly?

    Wayfinder Newport is a dog-friendly hotel and we’re happy to welcome your pup along for the adventure. We charge $50 per night for up to two dogs and offer a variety of dog-friendly amenities to make their stay just as comfortable as yours.

  • How far is the hotel from the nearest airport?

    Wayfinder Newport is approximately 25 miles, or about 30 minutes, from T.F. Green International Airport in Providence, Rhode Island, the closest major airport to Newport.

    Please note that transportation to and from the airport is not available through the hotel.

  • Is there parking at the hotel?

    Wayfinder Newport offers self-parking for guests, along with EV charging stations for electric vehicles. Parking is included in the Urban Destination Fee, with no additional charge.

  • Does the hotel offer shuttle service?

    Wayfinder Newport offers a guest shuttle with service between the hotel and downtown Newport, making it easy to explore the city without the hassle of parking. Availability and schedules may vary seasonally or during special events, so we recommend checking with the front desk during your stay for the most up to date details.

    There are several local dining spots and both large and boutique retail options within walking distance of the hotel.

  • What are the pool hours?

    Wayfinder Newport’s fun-in-the-sun deck and pool area open in May, with our fresh water pool accessible starting June 1 from 8 AM to 7 PM throughout the season.

    For guest safety, the pool will temporarily close if lightning is detected in the area. Food and beverage service will remain available during weather interruptions.

  • Do you have a fitness center?

    Yes, it is open 24-hours a day

  • Does the property offer on site dining?
